It is for the most part necessary to fine tune the printing colors on
the press prior to
starting a job. This process would normally involve
corrections to adapt the colors to
varying parameters such as printing
plates or cylinders, anilox rolls, substrate, specific press requirements
and production speed.
The said process of color fine tuning is time consuming and labor intensive
as well
as error-prone and calls for a very specific know-how and skill
of the printer. In printing practice, a number of manual corrections
may be required which may well take up to an hour or even longer.
EASY-COL supports the printer in making the necessary adjustments as
follows: Proofs
are measured photospectrometrically and the results compared
against relevant target values. By means of special software color deviations
are accurately measured, the appropriate correction inks determined and
exactly metered.
